Bernard brings a global business perspective gained over thirty years of leading multinational teams at some of the most prominent hotels and resorts around the world.
He spent five years in Hawaii as Managing Director of the Westin Maui and as General Manager of the Kahala Mandarin Oriental in Honolulu.
Most recently, as Senior Vice President at The Leading Hotels of the World, he achieved significant milestones in the development and implementation of a new quality improvement plan. He also implemented a process of individualized optimization plans to maximize revenues for all properties.
Prior to Leading Hotels, Bernard was Senior Vice President for Westmont Hospitality, working extensively with various global brands and independent hotels in an owner/operator environment, providing skilled management and an owner’s perspective to third-party managed properties. He was accountable for the overall performance of the portfolio, the viability of new acquisitions, the branding and re-branding of assets, and the delivery of committed investment returns.
Prior to Westmont, Bernard was a highly respected senior leader of Westin Hotels & Resorts, with a record of exceptional operating achievements and recognition for managing the “Most Innovative” and the “Most Profitable” business operations within the Brand.
Bernard’s strengths are an ability to clearly define business strategies, execute them quickly and effectively to deliver results, while building valuable partnerships across all audiences.
As President of Rhodes Hospitality Advisors based out of Atlanta, Georgia, Bill is available to assist owners with a wide variety of services.
He recently concluded a distinguished career with Ritz-Carlton which began in 1993 as their Vice President, Rooms and was promoted after three years to Senior Vice President, Operations and he served most recently as their Senior Vice President, Development Operations. During that tenure his responsibilities included all Ritz-Carlton hotels and resorts in Hawaii.
Bill began his career in 1970 as one of the early leaders with Hyatt Hotels. He rose through the management ranks and was a General Manager for a number of Hyatts including the Hyatt Regency Maui. Prior to departing Hyatt, was promoted to the position of Regional Vice President overseeing all of their hotels in the Southeast.
Bill's community involvement has included board positions with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and the Georgia Hospitality and Travel Association. He currently serves on the board of the Brightside Alliance Fund.
Stan had a distinguished career with Marriott Hotels and Resorts which grew from early experiences within their Sales and Marketing discipline. Rising to his first General Manager position in 1989 he managed a number of their resorts prior to coming to Hawaii in 1999 as General Manager of the Maui Marriott. In the next seven years Stan also Managed the Waikiki Beach Marriott semi-retiring in 2006.
Since then he has acted in the capacity of Interim GM in a number of properties to include The Ritz Carlton Kapalua, The Renaissance Resort Kapalua, The Lodge at Vail, The Landings in St. Lucia and opened the Temp Hotel for Rockresorts. Stan can assist owners with consulting, interim management as well as transitional management services. Stan also assists DMP Hawaii on special projects as needed.
An experienced General Manager with Marriott franchised properties, Norbert’s foundation came from serving in such positions as V.P./Controller for Amfac Resorts, CFO for Ocean Farms Hawaii, and area Controller for Hyatt Hotels Hawaii. Norbert advises DMP Hawaii in all areas including operational controls for resorts. His insights into management operations in general and with Marriott franchised properties in particular are outstanding. Norbert can help owners with operational and financial consulting as well as interim and transitional management assignments. Norbert may also be an ideal candidate for a permanent team leader for the right resort ownership.
